前作「縁(えにし)の糸」から約2年振りとなる竹内まりやのニューシングルは、CMスタート時からCD化の問い合わせが数多く寄せられているサントリー"角ハイボール"CMソング「ウイスキーが、お好きでしょ」。このシングルにはCMでおなじみの「CMアレンジ・ヴァージョン」の他、未発表の2ヴァージョンを収録。 [CMアレンジ Version] このヴァージョンは竹内まりやの親友でもあり、この楽曲の作曲者でもある杉真理がレコーディング、コーラスに参加。また、石川さゆり、ゴスペラーズの歌う同楽曲とは異なり、新たな歌詞が一部加筆され、竹内まりやの歌世界を十二分に堪能出来る仕上がりになっている。 [オーケストラ Version] 服部克久編曲によるオーケストラ・ヴァージョン。「CMアレンジ・ヴァージョン」とは異なり、オーケストラをバックに歌う竹内まりやの歌声が、これからの季節にぴったりの空気感を感じさせる。 ［ストリングス Version] スリー・グレイセスが同楽曲を英語詞でカヴァーした時のタイトルが「You & Night & Whisky」。竹内まりやが英語詞で歌うこのヴァージョンは、「オーケストラ Version」同様、服部克久編曲ですがオケは別のテイクを使用。
