原田知世、4年半ぶりのオリジナル・アルバム。2007年来の音楽パートナーであるギタリスト/作曲家の伊藤ゴローをプロデュース/作曲/アレンジに、そして原田ともに加えて、堀込高樹 (KIRINJI)、土岐麻子、高橋久美子 (ex. チャットモンチー)、辻村豪文 (キセル)、角田隆太 (ものんくる)、角銅真実といった多彩なアーティストを作家陣に迎えて制作。原田自身の作詞による、透明感と凛とした輝きを放つ「Hello」、宮沢賢治「銀河鉄道の夜」をモチーフにしたファンタジックな世界観の高橋久美子作詞曲「銀河絵日記」を皮切りに、名曲「くちなしの丘」 (2007年『music & me』収録)以来のタッグとなるキセル・辻村豪文提供の「わたしの夢」まで、"主演: 原田知世/監督: 伊藤ゴロー/脚本: 作詞家"で構成する架空の短編映画のサウンドトラックのようなコンセプトで、原田知世のさまざまな表情を描き出す。これまでのアコースティックでナチュラルな肌触りのものから、伊藤ゴローによるプログラミングをメインにしたドラマチックなサウンド・メイキングも本作の魅力。
