15周年イヤーに突入した湘南乃風。2018年第一弾シングルは、新たなことに挑戦が多くなるこの季節に湘南乃風からの叱咤激励・応援ソング「やめちまぇ!」をリリース。湘南乃風としては初めての試みとして"寺岡呼人"を楽曲制作に招いて、湘南乃風の新しい楽曲の方向性を提示。その新しい楽曲「やめちまぇ!」は、クヨクヨする現代人に対して、そんなにイヤなら"やめちまぇ!"という強烈なメッセージソングとなっており、聴いた者の心を揺さぶる、そして背中を押されること間違いなしの楽曲になっている。楽曲のアレンジにはヒットメイカー 鈴木 Daichi 秀行を起用。2曲目は2018年1月12～14日幕張メッセで開催された"東京オートサロン2018 テーマソング"として書き下ろされた、4人力強いユニゾンサビが印象的な「Be Strong」。さらに、北海道の結婚式場"旭川ブルーミントンヒル"CMソング「指」の3曲を収録。
