SEBASTIAN Xがロングセールスを継続中の前作『ひなぎくと怪獣』から9ヶ月ぶりとなるシングルを発売する。キャリア初となるパッケージシングルとなる本作は、4曲入り￥1000/限定2000枚でのリリースとなる。エンジニア/共同プロデューサーに、クリープハイプ/ふくろうず/在日ファンク/キリンジなどの仕事で知られている柏井日向を迎え制作。これまでのバンドのセルフプロデュース体制から柏井氏と共同プロデュースで制作された新曲からもバンドが次のステップに進んでいることが分かるだろう。M-1(新曲)は4/29に上野水上野外音楽堂で行なわれるバンド主催の野外イベント"TOKYO春告ジャンボリー"のテーマソングで、春を告げるミディアムテンポのラブソング。M-2(新曲)はバンドの勢いを象徴するような疾走感溢れるメッセージソング。M-3、M-4には、初のパッケージ化となるレア音源を収録。また、本作は4月29日(月・祝)に東京・上野水上野外音楽堂で開催される主催野外イベント『TOKYO春告ジャンボリー2013』と大きく関わった内容になっていて、CDとイベントが連動したキャンペーンも用意されている。音楽だけでなく、Vo.永原真夏のルックス/キャラクター/センスにも注目したい。高円寺で独自のファッションカルチャーを発信している古着屋「光」のスタッフをやる傍ら、詩集『三千世界の兎たちへ』を発売、映画監督デビュー、トークライブへの出演など、マルチな活動を展開し、多くのティーン女子のファンを持つ。
